Engine Company
#22 with Lt. Flores in charge responded to reports of a smell of
ammonia at the L&H Packing Plant. His company was ordered to lay
a line to the warehouse to spray down the ammonia gas leak.
During the layout of the lines on the shoulder of the 3400 block

running board and fell beneath the 13 ton truck’s wheels. He
died instantly at the scene.
